Jen and Tish Wedding

I know I haven't been keeping up with my blog because of my busy work schedule, but I wanted really wanted to put up this post. I had the honor of witnessing and photographing my first same sex marriage ceremony at the Preservation Park in Oakland. Jen and Tish were previous portrait clients of mine and had requested I shoot their wedding, which I obliged. It was a fun and unique experience to witness this proud moment in their future together. Here are a few of my favorite images from their wedding.

Busy, Not Lazy

Okay.. I know it's been a long time since I blogged. I was very busy with work and moving into our new house. I've been working on the house every night and every chance I can. I also squeeze in time to do some photo editing of some shoots. I really enjoy working on the house because I get to do it the way I want to. I've spent countless hours and late nights painting the interior of the house. My daughter Aleina wanted a pink room so I painted her room pink, but later realized after I finished that it was too pink (like the color of Pepto Bismol). I got a headache whenever I saw her room, so I ended up re-painting her room with a lighter pink. I'm so glad I bought one of those $200 ladder (Little Giant). It wasn't tall enough, but it made my work so much easier.

Next Level Workshop Part II

Here are my favorite images from Scott Robert Photography Next Level Workshop. I would also like to credit other fellow workshop photographers, including Scott, for posing the models in a couple of these shots. These were important experiences we gained from each other in helping us achieve success. The enhanced images were done using PS with Scott's Lightroom Presets, Scott's Actions, Kubota Actions, and NIK. Don't ask me which ones were used for each image because I wasn't keeping track. I create my images based on my perception and my mood on that day. Hope you guys enjoy them. Critiques are encouraged.

Scott Robert Photography Next Level Workshop on April 2nd to the 4th and had an amazing time. It was great seeing old and new friends who share the same passion and motivation in building their photography business and skills. Scott is not only a great photographer, artist, and instructor, but a great person as well. He is always willing to share his insights and techniques to building a better business and improving on individual development and styles. Trees and a Bull

Here are some random pics I played with over the weekend. The snow covered trees were taken on the Grapevine off the I-5 coming back home from LA. I loved how the bare trees looked in the snow. As I wondered off into the snow covered landscape photographing the trees, I stumbled upon a bunch of bulls, I took a couple shots of the bulls and ran-off quietly. I managed to capture an image of the one bull as he started to come towards me.

Happy Easter Everyone. We did some Easter egg decorating on Friday with our Nanny and her daughters, then had a little friends get together on Sunday for some Easter Egg Hunting for the little ones. As you can see, I went with the unusual egg decorating this year. Hope everyone had a great time and weekend with your loved ones.

Maggie and Armin (Wedding)

I had the wonderful privilege of shooting our friends Maggie and Armin’s Wedding at Pasadena in December along with Ben Vallejos (Armin’s Uncle from Oregon) . Ben is a nice guy and a great photographer, who I admired watching along with his wife Judi do their stuff when he was not busy attending to the wedding, since he was one of the sponsors. I was even a little intimidated (strange enough). My daughter Aleina, who was one of the flower girls, was adorable and very excited during the preparation, but then became very shy and clingy from the ceremony to the reception. Keiki Hula Dance and Show

Here is a fun slideshow of my sister Cres and her Keiki (little children) Hula Dancers I shot in December in the San Fernando Valley Area. This was my sister's first Hula class and show and I was surprised that she still remembers the Hula. The little keiki's were great too. My sister loves to entertain and enjoys kids, so on her spare time she teaches kids the Hula for charity.
